MENAPIER

buceaenlahistoria.org

This ship was en route from Villaricos to Gibraltar with a cargo of iron ore when it collided with the Iddesleigh ship, causing it to sink. Leaving the Fuengirola marina, it is about 2.2 miles south of Punta de Calaburra (Lighthouse). Due to the depth at which it is located (44 meters deep at the bow) it is advisable to have extensive experience in deep diving. This merchant ship is in a very good state of conservation and is more than 100 meters long, in which it barely exceeds 40 meters deep and the shallowest part is about 38 meters. There is usually not good visibility and you have to be careful with the strong currents.
