RIBERA DEL MIÑO

Fuente: clubgarfio.galeon.com

This ship was on the Malaga Seville route when it collided with the English frigate HMS Minden. The name of the "San Andrés" comes from the ballast that this ship carried inside it. Presumably, the lead plates that made up the weight that stabilized the ship were cast at the San Andrés de Málaga Foundry, owned by D. Manuel Heredia, husband of one of the ship's crew members.
