WESTBURN

buceaenlahistoria.org

British steamship built in 1893 captured by the German Navy in the First World War. She was sabotaged in 1916 so that she could not be recovered by the allies. The central part was literally dynamited to sink the ship. At about 30 meters deep on the sandy bottom in front of Las Gaviotas beach, the stern is the best preserved part of the wreck. High density of fish with large schools of herreras and bogas, grunts, and abundant holes and shelters to investigate.
